Technologies of Romance – Part I is an illustrated paperback in which personalised research and memoir is balanced with a historical perspective. It forms the first of a series of three books that will bring an array of ‘technologies’ into productive dialogue with varying notions of ‘romance’. Based on the author’s long-running undergraduate seminar of the same title, the series will provide an imaginative means of exploring cultural history in the context of current technologies.
