GAZO is an artist collective founded in 2020 with four members, Kimitaro Hattori, Takumi Ueda, Keita Suzuki, and Hiroyuki Kawashima. The members, who have different backgrounds in design, painting, architecture, and sculpture, began their activities with the production of the art book GAZO (GAZO).

The members' mission is to "explore through visual communication events and sensations that cannot be reproduced in language, such as memories that cannot be recalled in words, but escape easily from our hands if we give them a name. The artist's policy is to start with a single art book, which goes against the usual process of exhibiting in a museum (gallery) and then producing a catalogue. The art book itself is considered an "exhibition.

GAZO Collective believes, "To see a great work of art in a museum exhibition, or to be inspired by a piece of art in a book you stumbled upon, are two very different experiences. The two experiences are completely different, yet the distance at which the heart moves is the same".
